Clear a path through the arcana
Find two matching tiles and remove them to free the tiles underneath.

A tile is free if it has no tile on top and has at least one open side: left or right.
Clear the board
Choose a free tile.
Swipe the board sideways to see all the tiles.
Why can’t I remove a tile?
It must have no tile on top and one side must be open. Being on the top or bottom edge is not enough. Both tiles in a pair must show the same arcana card.
A hint highlights an available pair, not necessarily the best move. If no free pairs remain, you can undo or shuffle the remaining tiles.
With a keyboard: Tab to a tile, then use the arrow keys to move between free tiles. Press Enter or Space to select one.

How to play Tarot Mahjong
Remove every tile by matching pairs of the same arcana card. This game brings the Rider-Waite images of the 22 major arcana to mahjong solitaire. You do not need to know their meanings: observation and the order in which you clear the board are what matter here.
Which tiles can you remove?
A tile is free when no tile lies on top of it and at least one horizontal side — left or right — is open. The top and bottom edges do not count. Blocked tiles look dimmer; turn on “Highlight free tiles” to make available tiles easier to spot.
Select a free tile, then select an identical free tile. Removing the pair can reveal tiles in lower layers. When several copies of the same arcana card are in play, choosing one pair rather than another may change your later options.
Three boards to choose from
Easy has 36 tiles in two layers, using 18 different arcana cards chosen from the 22. Intermediate has 60 tiles and Challenge has 84, both in three layers and using all 22 arcana. Each game creates a new arrangement, with no daily limit or countdown.
Every board is generated with a complete removal sequence, and that solution is checked before play begins. This does not mean every order will work: your choices can leave a game blocked.
Hints, undo and shuffle
Hint highlights an available pair, not necessarily the best move. Undo restores the board before a pair was removed or the tiles were shuffled; up to 60 steps are kept. Shuffle rearranges the remaining tiles into a board with a new solution. It does not bring back pairs you have already removed. These helpers are free to use; the result shows how often you used them.
On a small screen, “Enlarge tiles” makes the tiles bigger and lets you scroll the board sideways. “Fit to width” fits the whole board to the screen again.
