Upright or Reversed? is a game for learning how a tarot card changes when it turns. The card stays upright at first so you can recognise it while you read a specific interpretation; your task is to decide which orientation it belongs to. After you answer, the image turns only when the reading was reversed.
A reversed card does not simply mean something bad
A reversal can work in four ways: it can block an energy, push it to excess, turn it inward or show that a difficulty is starting to release without being fully resolved. The game names the exact nuance after every answer, so you learn the change instead of memorising a list of negative meanings.
How to play
Look at the card, read the interpretation and choose Upright or Reversed. The reveal shows the correct orientation, the decisive clue and how the same card could sound if it turned the other way. Every block contains the same number of upright and reversed answers and does not repeat cards.
Three levels for learning reversals
Essential orientation uses the 22 Major Arcana and clear contrasts. Full deck brings in all 78 cards. Subtle reversals hides the keywords and focuses on internalisation, incomplete release and readings that could be confused with an upright card.

Each of the 78 cards has four upright readings and four reversed ones. Play ten interpretations, open a twenty-question study session or continue in free practice. Cards you find difficult can return in later games to help the distinction stick.
