Say how many numbers you want and how high they go: the drum draws them in front of you, one by one and with no repeats. Or ask for a number with several digits, like the one on a ticket.
The numbers come from chance: this is entertainment, not a prediction. No oracle can guess a draw — play sensibly.
Choosing numbers is an old gesture. Long before there were draws, lots were already being cast — with stones, with beans, with small tablets: you let chance speak where reason ran out. The lucky numbers oracle is today's version of that gesture: a drum that turns, and balls that fall one at a time.
