The four pinnacles come from the month, day and year of birth; the challenges from the differences between those same numbers. The ages follow the most widespread convention: the first stretch ends at 36 minus your life path, and the three that follow last nine years each. Other schools cut elsewhere; here you are told which one is used. The pinnacles keep the master numbers 11 and 22; the challenges do not, because they come from a subtraction.
Numerology does not read a life as one straight line but as four stretches that follow one another. Each has its starting age, its number — the pinnacle — and its reverse, the challenge. The pinnacle says what the stretch offers you; the challenge, what it charges in return.
