Remember where this comes from: biorhythms are a late-nineteenth-century notion that has never been shown to predict anything. No couple works better or worse because of a percentage, and no relationship is settled by a chart. Take it as a game for looking at the month ahead.
If every person carries their three waves from the day they were born, two people carry six. And that is where the question behind this page appears: do your waves travel together, or against each other? Couple biorhythms work out nothing more than that, and it is worth saying up front, so nobody expects a verdict on their relationship here.
The arithmetic is simpler than it sounds. Because the cycles are fixed, the only thing that counts is how many days lie between your two births. If that gap is an exact multiple of 23 days, your physical curves sit right on top of each other: a hundred per cent. If it is half of that — eleven and a half days — they run exactly opposite: zero. Everything else falls in between. That is why a couple's percentage never changes: you were born when you were born, and that distance does not move again.
What does change is where each of you stands today. So underneath the percentage, the app draws both curves together for each cycle — yours as a solid line, the other person's dashed — and pulls out your best days of the coming month and your most delicate ones. That is the useful part: if you know you will both be firing on all cylinders next weekend, that is the moment for the plan you keep putting off.
About low percentages, a clarification that is often needed: being out of phase is not bad news. It means you will rarely both be flat on the same day, and that there will almost always be one of you with the strength to pull the other along. Plenty of couples who get on beautifully score forty per cent here.
