Card of the day

Some people will not leave the house without reading their horoscope — others would rather ask the deck. The card of the day is exactly that: a single arcanum that rules the day, from midnight to midnight. It is not a spread you repeat until something pretty turns up — it is today’s card, the same for everyone who turns it over, and tomorrow there will be another.

The custom is an old one: working tarot readers start their morning by drawing one card from the pile to take the day’s pulse — the way you glance at the sky before stepping out. One arcanum, no crosses, no positions. The question is not "what will happen to me?" but "what energy does today arrive with?".

Here the card comes from a deck drawn especially for this page: 38 cards — the 22 major arcana and the court cards of the four suits — each with its name, its symbol and its reading for the day. And below it waits an extra that tradition approves of: your own card — type your name and the deck assigns you yours, also fixed until midnight. The day’s card sets the weather; yours, how you are meant to sail it.
